Where your AI agent's history lives, and how long it lasts

Every vendor keeps the record of what your agent did, and every one of them can lose it: Make keeps run details 7 to 60 days, Zapier 29 to 69, n8n Cloud 7 or 30, and a deleted ChatGPT Business workspace takes its conversations with it. Claude Cowork keeps its log only on your computer. When Relay.app closed in September 2026, every account, workflow and run history was permanently deleted. Keep your own copy: each page below says where the history is, how long it lasts, and the steps.

$ npx --allow-git=root github:agentwares/agentreceipt

npx --allow-git=root github:agentwares/agentreceipt reads Claude Cowork's audit.jsonl files, Claude Code and Codex session logs, and any Zapier, Make or n8n export you name, on your computer, and prints the week by folder or project: sends, writes, deletes, approvals, failures, tokens and cost. A field a log does not hold reads "not recorded". No account, no network request, no LLM; it sends nothing. --pdf receipt.pdf writes a local, unsigned copy. Free and MIT licensed.

Claude CoworkCowork tasks on your computer keep an audit.jsonl there, with no copy at Anthropic; cloud tasks live in your account. What drops it, and how to keep a copy.
ChatGPTChatGPT keeps chats, agent runs and Work chats until you delete them; deleted ones go within 30 days. Export steps, and what a workspace deletion erases.
GeminiGemini Apps Activity is auto-deleted after 18 months by default, or kept 72 hours with Keep Activity off. Where Spark tasks live, and how to use Takeout.
ZapierZapier keeps Zap history for 29 to 69 days on every plan and guarantees at most 60. How to download it as CSV or JSON before it goes, and read it locally.
MakeMake keeps execution logs 7 days on Free, 30 on Core, Pro and Teams, 60 on Enterprise. How to export a scenario's history to CSV and read it locally.
n8nn8n Cloud keeps executions 7 days on Starter and 30 on Pro; self-hosted n8n prunes after 14 days. There is no CSV export: how to keep a copy with the API.

Keep a signed record that survives a downgrade or a shutdown — Solo $19/mo, Team $99/mo, or $29 once at a shutdown.

Not built yet. It would keep a copy of what your agents did outside the vendor, signed so a client or a boss can check it was not edited, and still there after a plan ends or a vendor closes: names, times and counts, never the text of your messages or files. If you would pay for it, say so with one click. The click is counted; nothing else is sent or stored.
